Followed by a group of entertainers, some 130 Palestinian youths from different schools and different ages are giving life to a school summer camp organized by the Latin parish of Ramallah. Dancing, music and singing, a class of mathematics, one on science, another on development of logical thinking, make this camp a unique learning opportunity for the children taking part. This year, for the occasion, the organizers wanted to rename the summer activities with the name of Holy Family, the same name as the parish that organized it.Sr. Mira Kasabreh, Responsible for Summer Camp Girls"There are two teachers for children and adults for the performing arts and handicrafts so that they can develop their talents."A moment of fun but also an opportunity to grow and cultivate the talent of children outside their usual school setting."I'm getting much from the classes on logic and mathematics, learning new teaching. But I'm also learning how to treat others better."The summer course also include sessions of manual labor, where children can do art and crafts. For Father Aktham, the summer camp is also a time of spiritual enrichment.Father Aktham - Ramallah pastor: "We chose the theme of joy, peace and love in the Holy Family School. This is because our children and our families do not know the true meaning of inner peace and true love. Why is there joy in their smiles but that joy doesn't come from their lives? We begin the day with a story where it's possible to have an important spiritual and educational message through eight chapters that aim to help youth discover the meaning of their life: who am I? Who am I as a Christian, and who am I as a living being?"
